Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia tweeted that under Operation Ganga, eight Indians were brought from Bucharest, five from Budapest, two from Susiava, one from Kosse and three from Rezejo on Thursday. These flights landed at airports like Delhi, Mumbai, Hindon etc. So far 17,000 Indians have been evacuated from Ukraine under Operation Ganga since the issue of the advisory.
He tweeted that the Air Force has used C-17 military cargo aircraft to bring Indian citizens. These planes were also used to bring Indians stranded in Kabul during the recent Taliban crisis and also to transport oxygen cylinders on a large scale during the Corona period. It is noteworthy that due to the closure of its airspace of Ukraine, India is evacuating its citizens from its neighboring countries Romania, Hungary and Poland through special flights from February 24.

Still many students stuck in Ukraine, need help
Indian students who returned to Mumbai from Ukraine on Thursday said that many students are still trapped there and need help. A plane carrying 183 Indians including a newborn from Budapest landed here in the morning. Union Minister Raosaheb Danve welcomed him.
A student who returned in this batch told that a fierce war is going on in the eastern part of Ukraine and the people trapped there need help. Another student said that she somehow managed to cross the border with Ukraine. Many students are still trapped and I request that they also be removed from there. It is difficult to get a flight there, but the Indian embassy helped us.
