After which the administration, showing seriousness in this matter, started Operation Prahar to check the arbitrary recovery of kiosk centers.
These days the work of registration of wheat is also being done through kiosk centers in rural areas. In such a situation, complaints were being made from the farmers here about charging arbitrary fees for registration. At the same time, in the work of other improvement and updation, the kiosk operators were not shying away from collecting more than the prescribed fee from the concerned. When the district administration came to know about all this, then the process of action was started. In the initial complaints, more than half a hundred such kiosk operators have also been identified who are charging arbitrary fees from the common people. To curb these in rural areas, the collector has also constituted a team of officers. Who will oversee these centres.
FIR will be lodged against those who charge more
Collector Sanjay Kumar said that during the public hearing and tour of the district, complaints have been made to him by the citizens that Common Service Center, Public Service Center, VC etc. . These centers are taking advantage of the digital ignorance of the citizens. Such centers whose complaints have been received for charging more than the prescribed fee. Through these centers, an FIR will be lodged against those who take more than the prescribed fee by conducting physical verification of the transactions done with the citizens in the month of January and February.
Operation Prahar will run like this
For Operation Prahar, SDM of the concerned section for urban areas and Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat for rural areas have been authorized. Instructions have been given to the operators of these centers that they will give daily information to the district administration. The investigation of which will be done through different officers and bankers. In which it will be seen whether the Kiosk Center has collected more amount from the general public in return for their works. If so, strict action will be taken against him.
More than half a hundred identified
According to the collector, kiosk centers in rural areas charging farmers, old people and common citizens more than the prescribed fee for their digital works have also been identified. More than 50 kiosk centers will be identified and probe will be conducted to check the amount charged by them from the common people instead of the fixed fee in two months. If any disturbance is found in these centers in the investigation, then FIR will be taken directly against them. So that the arbitrariness of other kiosk center operators can be checked. It is noteworthy that most of the kiosk centers charge citizens more than the prescribed fee in the name of Aadhar card, pension amount, registration work and form filling. While the commission amount has also been fixed by the government for this work.
Villagers had reached the public hearing with a complaint
In the public hearing to be held on Tuesday, more complaints related to kiosk operators were coming. The villagers were reaching out to the officials regarding the problem of taking more amount from them by the kiosk centers. At the same time, the farmers had also complained about charging more amount from them in the registration work. Taking cognizance of frequent complaints, the administration has ensured to take action on them. Information about all the kiosk centers operating in the district is being collected. After this, the FIR will be lodged directly against the operator who commits disturbances.
