In all the exit polls that came on June 1, Modi government is seen to be formed once again. 10 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure have been completed. Let us know about those 10 bets i.e. those 10 big schemes which won a lot of praise among the people. The central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has implemented many such schemes in the last few years, which directly benefited the common people.
1. Make in India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Make in India program on 25 September 2014. Its aim is to promote the manufacturing sector in the country and create employment opportunities. Make in India is a kind of Swadeshi campaign, which includes all sectors of the economy.
2. PM Housing Scheme
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, subsidy is given on loans to the needy for building houses. For this, people have to register themselves under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, any person earning less than 3 lakhs, who does not have any house, can avail this benefit. In this scheme, a help of 2.50 lakhs is given by the government.
3. Atal Pension Yojana
Atal Pension Yojana is a pension scheme run by the Government of India. In this scheme, one has to invest from the age of 18 to 40 years. Through this scheme, a maximum pension of Rs 5000 can be obtained every month after the age of 60. The amount of pension depends on your investment. Apart from this, only those people can take advantage of this scheme who are not taxpayers.
4. PM Security Insurance Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana was started in the year 2015 with the aim of securing the large population of India. Earlier its annual premium was Rs 12, which was increased to Rs 20 from June 1, 2022. In this scheme you get a security cover of Rs 2 lakh. If your age is between 18 to 70 years, then you can buy this security insurance scheme giving coverage of up to 2 lakhs by paying just Rs 20 a year.
5. PM Jeevan Jyoti Insurance Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. This scheme provides financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh to the family of the insured in case of his death. You can avail this scheme by paying just Rs 436 annually. The minimum age to buy this policy is 18 years, while the maximum age is 55 years.
6. Ujjwala Scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this scheme on May 1, 2016 in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The aim of this scheme is to provide clean cooking fuel like LPG to rural and deprived families. This scheme was launched for those who were using traditional cooking fuels like firewood, coal, cow dung cakes etc. as fuel.
7. Free Sewing Machine Scheme
Modi government is also doing a lot of work to empower women. Under this scheme, the poor and working women of the country are given sewing machines for free by the central government. With this, the women of the country can start their own employment from home. The main objective of this scheme is to make the women of the country self-reliant and empowered.
8. Prime Minister Vishwakarma Scheme
Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana was introduced on 17 September 2023 keeping in mind the artisans and craftsmen. The objective of this scheme is to enhance the capabilities of the artisans of the country. The artisans of carpenter, carpenter, sculptor, potter community are getting the benefit of this scheme. In the first phase of the scheme, loan up to 1 lakh will be given. The interest rate on this will also not exceed 5%. After this, in the second phase, the workers will get a loan of Rs 2-2 lakh.
9. Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme
This scheme is a lifeline for farmers. Under this scheme, the central government provides insurance for the damage caused to the crops of the farmers due to drought and flood. Under this scheme, crop insurance of up to Rs 2 lakh is provided to the farmers of the country. To avail the benefits of this scheme, farmers have to pay only 50 percent of the insurance premium. The remaining 50 percent is given as subsidy by the central and state governments.
10. Jan Dhan Yojana
Under this scheme, Indian citizens can open a zero balance account. Apart from cheque book, passbook, accident insurance, common people also get overdraft facility on the account. Under the overdraft facility, a Jan Dhan account holder can withdraw up to Rs 10,000 from his account even if there is no balance in the account. The aim of this scheme is to connect every person to the banking system.
