1. PM Jan Dhan Yojana
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) on the occasion of Independence Day on 15 August 2014. Through this scheme, a target was set to provide banking facilities to all the people of the country. So far, more than 50 crore beneficiaries have been provided banking facilities under this scheme. The number of these accounts increased 3.4 times from 14.72 crores in March 2015 to 50.09 crores by mid-August 2023.
2. PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme
This scheme has been made for the benefit of farmers. All the farmers across the country get the benefit of this scheme. Modi government gives financial assistance of Rs 6000 in a year. This goes directly to the farmers’ account in 3 installments of Rs 2000 each.
3. Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana
To make the daughters of the country self-reliant and for their further progress, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana in January 2015 under the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign. To alleviate the worries of families who could not educate their children, especially girls, due to lack of money, the government came up with the Sukanya Samridhi Yojana. By investing in this, you can save money for expenses ranging from your daughter’s education to marriage.
4. Ujjwala Scheme
The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) was launched in May 2016 by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas as a flagship scheme aimed at providing clean cooking fuels such as LPG to rural and underprivileged households. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the scheme on 1 May 2016 in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The government believes that the use of traditional cooking fuels has a harmful effect on the health of rural women as well as the environment.
5. Prime Minister Housing Scheme
This scheme is for urban and rural people. Under this, people who have kutcha houses and do not have roofs can apply for a house under the PM Awas Yojana. Under this scheme, money is given to the poor to build houses. Apart from this, people with low income are also given subsidy in home loans.
