ISRO Free Course: If you are also dreaming of studying from ISRO, then there is a great opportunity for you. Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) have started the application process for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This is a 5-day online course. Aimed at equipping students with the basics of AI and ML, this short term course will start from August 19 and run till August 23, 2024.
Who can apply for this free course of ISRO
This course is specially designed for those professionals who want to familiarize themselves with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) and want to apply these techniques in geospatial applications. It is also very relevant for students and researchers in fields like Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Geoinformatics and Geomatics. The special thing is that there is no fee for this course, but seats are limited. Registrations for this course are accepted on first come, first served basis.
ISRO’s free course content and study material
The curriculum of this course provides an in-depth exploration of AI, ML and DL concepts. It covers a wide range of topics, including introduction to AI/ML and DL, various machine learning methods such as supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning, and advanced deep learning techniques such as CNN, RNN, R-CNN, Faster RCNN, SSD and YOLO. In addition, the course includes practical applications through Google Earth Engine and Python programming to develop machine and deep learning models. Study materials, including lecturer slides, video recordings and handouts, will be made available on the eClass platform, allowing participants to easily access all the resources.
Certificate will be given on completion of the course
Individuals interested in enrolling can apply directly through the link provided. Approval for registration is automatic and participants will receive login credentials for the ISRO Learning Management System (LMS). Students with a minimum of 70% attendance will be awarded a ‘Course Participation Certificate’ upon completion of the course. This certificate will be available for download from ISRO LMS.
