New Delhi. After the voting in the seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections ended, the leaders of India Alliance gathered at the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi. The absence of Trinamool Congress chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was notable in this meeting. However, the presence of former Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi highlighted the importance of this meeting. After the meeting, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said that the main agenda was to expose the BJP.
The meeting held at Kharge’s residence was attended by several prominent leaders, including KC Venugopal from JMM, Rahul Gandhi, Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren and CM Champai Soren, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha, VIP chief Mukesh Sahni, Tejashwi Yadav and Sudhakar Singh from RJD, CPI-ML’s Dipankar Bhattacharya, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav and Ramgopal Yadav, NCP (Sharad faction) chief Sharad Pawar, Farooq Abdullah, Sitaram Yechury, D Raja, etc.
Focus on discussion on exit poll
During the meeting going on at Kharge’s Delhi residence, Congress leader Pawan Khera informed that all India Alliance parties will participate in the exit poll discussion to be held on various news channels in the evening. Earlier, the Congress had decided to keep itself away from the exit polls. Pawan Khera announced on social media platform X that after deep deliberations, the members of India Alliance have unanimously decided to join the exit poll debate to expose the BJP and its ecosystem. The decision was taken after weighing the pros and cons of participating in the exit poll discussions.
