New Delhi. Today, a solid beginning has been made in the new Parliament of the country to fulfill the promise that was made to half the country’s population 27 years ago. The Women’s Reservation Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha today by Law Minister Arjun Meghwal in the new Parliament during a special session. But with the introduction of the Women’s Reservation Bill, many controversies have started regarding it. Congress is trying to take credit for this bill. Now Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reacted on this. Amit Shah has strongly attacked Congress regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill. He said that the opposition is not able to digest the Women’s Reservation Bill.
Let us tell you that under the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, one-third reservation will be given to women in the Lok Sabha and the Legislative Assemblies of different states. This reservation will not be applicable for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Rather, women will be able to get the benefit of this reservation only after the delimitation work is completed in 2026.
Amit Shah wrote on social media on Tuesday, “People across India are enjoying the introduction of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act in Parliament. This shows the unwavering commitment of the Modi government to empower women.”
Further targeting Congress, Amit Shah wrote, “Sadly, the opposition is not able to digest this, what is even more shameful is that except for symbolism, Congress has never been serious about women’s reservation.. or So they let the laws lapse or their allies blocked the bill from being introduced. His dual character will never be hidden, no matter how many stunts he pulls to get credit.”
Across the length and breadth of India, people are rejoicing the introduction of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam in Parliament. It shows the unwavering commitment of the Modi Government to empower women. Sadly, the Opposition is unable to digest this. And, what is more shameful…

Earlier, Home Minister Amit Shah wrote, “Be it policy or leadership, India’s women power has proved that they are no less than anyone in any field. Modi government believes that building a strong and self-reliant India is not possible without the support and strength of women power. This decision of the Modi government to give rights to the women power of the country will become the main pillar of building a developed and prosperous India in the times to come.”
