The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s concern for farmers and farmers. He mentioned for the first time the setting up of the Ministry of Cooperation and the formation of cooperative societies in more than two lakh villages to transform small farmers into agricultural entrepreneurs and exporters. Modi also highlighted the government’s efforts to enhance the economic power of women and emphasized that the real strength of India’s dairy sector lies in its women.
Citing Amul as a prime example, he underlined the transformative decisions taken with a futuristic mindset. Amul has become a symbol of India’s livestock capabilities.
