Old Malda. On Sunday evening, a heartbreaking accident in Rangmatia area of Bhabbua area of Old Malda Block shocked the entire area. A young man was hit by a train near the church railway line, killing him on the spot.
The deceased has been identified as 30 -year -old Jamadar Sheikh, who was a tractor driver by profession. As soon as the information of the accident was received, there was chaos in the area and people around ran towards the spot.
Family backgrounds and potential causes
According to family members, Jamadar Sheikh is left behind by old mother, four brothers, wife, a son and two daughters. According to the family, there was an atmosphere of disturbance in the house for some time and the deceased was also a victim of drug addiction. However, the family is not ready to believe that it was a suicide step. According to them, they do not understand the reason behind this accident.
Railway police reached the spot
A team of Railway Police reached the spot as soon as the news of the incident was received. The body has been recovered and sent to the morgue of Malda Medical College Hospital for postmortem. The police is investigating the case and every aspect is being noted.

After the accident, mourning has spread in Rangmatia and nearby villages. Local residents say the incident is very sad and shocking. Many people have raised questions on the lack of security measures around the railway line.
