Bangladesh team has suffered a major setback before the Test series against Pakistan. Bangladesh opener Mahmudul Hasan has been ruled out of the Test series due to a groin injury. BCB has not yet announced Mahmudul’s replacement. This is a big setback for Bangladesh as the Test series is scheduled to begin in Rawalpindi from August 21. On this tour, Bangladesh has to play a 2-match Test series on Pakistan’s soil. BCB Chief Physician Debashish Chowdhury said on August 17 that he had received a mail regarding Mahmudul, stating that he has an injury in his right groin and he is being rested for three weeks.

Before joining the Test team, Mahmudul, who was part of the Bangladesh A team that played against Pakistan-A in Islamabad, suffered this injury while fielding. Due to this injury, he could not even bat in the second innings. The right-handed batsman was looking in good form by scoring 65 runs in the first innings against Pakistan-A but he had to be out due to injury. Cricbuzz gave this information in its report.

He was injured against Pakistan-A

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim informed that he hopes to recover from his finger injury before the Test series against Pakistan. Due to this injury, Rahim did not come out to bat in the second innings for Bangladesh A during the four-day match. In a statement given by the Bangladesh Cricket Board, Mushfiqur said that he had injured his finger before batting in the second innings, so he could not bat. He hopes that he will recover very soon and will be a part of the first Test.

Let us tell you, the first test will be played in Rawalpindi from August 21, while the second test will start in Karachi from August 30. The Bangladesh cricket team has left for Islamabad from Lahore after finishing the three-day practice session on Saturday, August 17.
