Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is facing a lot of controversies these days. Similarly, while Zaka Ashraf had resigned from the post of PCB Chief a few days ago, now Pakistani player Mohammad Harris, who had come to play Bangladesh Premier League, had to return to the country without playing any match. Harris wanted to play in this league but after reaching Bangladesh, Pakistan Cricket Board refused to give him NOC to play. Harris was a part of the Chattogram franchise team in this league, after which the franchise itself made arrangements to send him back to Pakistan.
Mohammad Harris has already played 2 foreign T20 leagues.
Mohammad Harris had received approval from the Pakistan Cricket Board to play in 2 overseas T20 leagues in a year from July 2023 to July 2024, in which Harris has already played in the Lanka Premier League and Global T20 League. While he was a part of the Kandy team in the LPL, he was playing for the Surrey Jaguars team in the Canada T20 League. On the issue of not being given NOC, Harris also said that he had already reached Bangladesh for the preparations for the tournament, but he later got the information that the PCB has not issued him the No Objection Certificate.
I will definitely play in this league next year
Mohammad Harries’ statement after not being able to play in this season of Bangladesh Premier League, according to ESPN Cricinfo, he said that thanks to the Chattogram team management and BCB who took care of me and gave me the opportunity to play here. I came here early so that I could prepare for the tournament. Unfortunately, NOC was not issued to me. I know I haven’t played a single match and the team needs me, but I will definitely come to play in this T20 league next year.
