Lahore. Pakistan cricket always remains in discussion. At present this team is in the headlines because of the continuous changes being made in the team after the arrival of its new chairman. A major change is being made in the coaching staff of the team. The team captain has been changed. Now Pakistan Cricket Board is going to take a big decision regarding the head coach. Preparations are underway to bring in different coaches for different formats of cricket.
Pakistan’s Test and limited overs coaches will be announced later this month. An official of Pakistan Cricket Board gave this information on Friday. The PCB also confirmed that apart from South Africa’s Gary Kirsten and Australia’s Jason Gillespie, the board has received applications from some other renowned coaches by the April 15 deadline.
The PCB official said that they are interested in Gillespie and Kirsten but new applicants are also in the race. The source said, “PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has clearly said that coaches will be appointed on a long-term basis by following the entire process.”
