Pakistan Cricket Team: The two-Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh is to be played from August 21. The first match will be played in Rawalpindi and the second match in Karachi. But now big news has come out that the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be held without spectators. The Pakistan Cricket Board has had to take this decision in view of the Champions Trophy. The Champions Trophy 2025 is to be held on Pakistani soil and for this the Pakistan Cricket Board has already sent the schedule to the ICC.
The second test match will be held without fans
Reminiscent of the days of Covid-19, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to host the second Test against Bangladesh in an empty stadium. The PCB said that this difficult decision has been taken due to the ongoing construction work at the stadium in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy early next year. The board said in a statement that we understand that our enthusiastic fans play an important role in cricket who inspire and encourage our players. However, the health and safety of our fans is our top priority.
According to the statement, after carefully considering all the available options, we have decided that the safest way is to hold the second Test in an empty stadium. The board said that as a result of this decision, the sale of tickets for the second Test to be played from August 30 to September 3 has been suspended with immediate effect. The board said that fans who have already bought tickets will automatically get a full refund which will be credited to the account details given while purchasing the ticket.
Bilateral series is not happening between India and Pakistan
Pakistan is making every effort to organize the Champions Trophy 2025. The ICC has released the budget for the Champions Trophy, but the Indian team’s visit there has not been confirmed yet. The BCCI has left the final decision to the government. At the same time, PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi had advised his office and fellow colleagues not to make any statement related to India’s decision to send its team for the Champions Trophy. The Indian cricket team last visited Pakistan in the year 2008. Since then the Indian team has not visited Pakistan. Now India and Pakistan are seen playing only in ICC tournaments and Asia Cup. There are no bilateral series between the two countries.
