The Taliban has refused to accept Pakistan’s claim on the occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir (POK).

In fact, the Taliban has evaluated the borders of Afghanistan for the first time in three decades. This also includes the evaluation of the borders with Pakistan, Tajikistan and Jammu and Kashmir. The Taliban’s Ministry of Border and Tribal Affairs said, we have evaluated the imaginary line with Pakistan (possibly the Durand Line), the official borders with Tajikistan and Jammu and Kashmir. These borders have not been evaluated for three decades. This statement of the Taliban government is very important from the point of view of India, while it is like a shock for Pakistan.

False claim by Pakistan
In fact, a part of POK meets Afghanistan’s Wakhan Corridor. For years, Pakistan has been claiming POK. It falsely tries to call it its state. However, India repeatedly says that this entire area is an integral part of India. Many times there are talks of taking it back. In such a situation, the statement of Taliban shows that it does not accept Pakistan’s claim on POK. This is the same stand that India has been saying from the beginning. India never recognized POK.

Around 30 lakh people live there

Although this part remains mostly in obscurity, but Pakistan has direct control over POK. Pakistan Occupied Kashmir claims that it has its own government but the truth is that this government works under the control of Pakistan. POK also has its own Supreme Court and High Court.
