Sydney: The shopping mall in Sydney city of Australia reopened to the general public on Thursday where six people were killed in a knife attack. Along with this, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said to consider giving citizenship to the expatriate security personnel of Pakistan who was injured while fighting the attacker.

After the attack on Saturday last week in Sydney’s ‘Westfield Bondi Junction’, two more incidents of knife attack took place in the city in the last three days, which has shocked people. The attacker who stabbed 18 people in Saturday’s attack was killed by the police.
PM praised
Prime Minister Albanese praised those who intervened in Saturday’s attack, including security guard Mohammed Taha. Taha was stabbed in the stomach in the attack. Taha is from Pakistan and has been working in Australia on a temporary visa. His visa is about to expire in a few weeks. Albanese said his government would consider granting citizenship to Taha.
Security will be tight in the mall
Westfield Bondi Junction Mall reopened on Thursday but shops will be closed for “community reflection day”. Trading at one of Australia’s largest shopping malls will resume on Friday. During this period, more stringent security arrangements will be made in the mall. (AP)
