Regarding the seven-point demand including regularization, the Panchayat Secretaries took out a rally at the district headquarters and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and the Panchayat Secretary. Panchayat secretaries from across the district participated in the rally.
District President of Panchayat Secretary Union, Bhupendra Singh said that all the employees working in the state for 27 years have been officialized, such as education workers, workers working in PWD, employees working in forest department, only Panchayat secretaries have been officialized. According to the service recruitment rules of Panchayat personnel, there is an eligibility for compassionate appointment under the rules of the government. Whereas the new order for compassionate appointment by the department, under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, compassionate appointment of Panchayat Secretaries to the post of Panchayat Secretary will be done after 12th pass. Whereas according to the recruitment rules, there is a provision to give compassionate appointment in class IV. The family members of many deceased Panchayat Secretary of Bastar and Surguja region are deprived of compassionate appointment due to being less educated. Therefore, according to the recruitment rules, the eligibility for compassionate appointment is not given in class IV posts according to the government, which is unfair. According to the letter number 63 of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, on July 18, 2018, the revised pay scale of Panchayat Secretaries has been fixed, according to which those with more than 15 years of service will get 5200-20200 grade pay 2400 and those with less than 15 years of service will be given 5200-20200 grade pay. was sanctioned a special allowance of Rs.1500 on grade pay of Rs.3500-10000. Whose difference amount has not been paid by the government even after more than 3 years. Regarding all these demands, the Panchayat Secretaries took out a rally at the District Headquarters on Monday and after reaching the District Panchayat, submitted a memorandum to the Panchayat Deputy Director Abhimanyu Sahu in the name of Chief Minister and Panchayat Secretary. Panchayat secretaries from across the district participated in the rally.
