New Delhi. There is going to be an election for the post of Congress President. Before this, all the party leaders are raising questions about its process. In these, 5 Congress MPs wrote a letter to senior party leader and election in-charge Madhusudan Mistry on Saturday. Shashi Tharoor, Manish Tewari, Karti Chidambaram, Pradyut Bordoloi and Abdul Khaliq in their letter questioned the non-disclosure of the list of delegates who voted in the Congress Presidential election. The five leaders expressed concern that the names of those who have been approved to vote and nominate are not known. The ears of the Congress high command were raised by the letter of these MPs. Madhusudan Mistry wrote a letter to all the 5 MPs and clarified in a hurry, so that another dispute should not arise during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Let us inform that earlier 23 Congress leaders had written a letter to the Congress high command demanding radical changes in the party.
Madhusudan Mistry wrote to these leaders that those wishing to file nomination for the post of Congress President will be able to see the list of names of all the representatives in the Central Election Authority office of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) from September 20. Mistry wrote in his letter that this list will be available till September 24. Mistry wrote to the five MPs that they can come to the AICC office and see the list. Also, you can get the signatures of 10 of your supporters there. The five MPs had demanded in their letter that the list of voters, representatives of the Pradesh Congress Committee and information about all possible candidates should be put on the party’s website.
I am pleased that this clarification has come in the form of his constructive reply to our letter (attached). In view of these assurances, I am satisfied. Many will be glad to move on with an election process that in my view will only strengthen the party. pic.twitter.com/y5Q1WgFGwl

However, Shashi Tharoor seemed satisfied with the reply given by the Congress on the letter of the MPs. Tharoor said he has spoken to election in-charge Madhusudan Mistry to end the controversy that arose after the letter was leaked. The five of us have sought an explanation and do not want any confrontation with the party high command, he said. Tharoor said that the list must be given so that it is known who has the right to sign someone’s nomination and who is entitled to vote. At the same time, Karti Chidambaram said that he is also satisfied with Madhusudan Mistry’s answer. Let us tell you that the nomination for the post of Congress President can be filed from September 24 to 30. Elections will be held on October 17 and results will be declared on October 19.
