New Delhi. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. Governor S Abdul Nazir administered the oath of office and secrecy. During this, South Indian superstar and Jana Sena Party founder Pawan Kalyan took oath as Deputy Chief Minister. Many dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, former Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P. Nadda were present at the swearing-in ceremony. The main attraction of the program was the presence of megastar Chiranjeevi and his brother Pawan Kalyan along with PM Modi.

A video of the ceremony has surfaced, in which Prime Minister Modi is seen holding Pawan Kalyan’s hand before leaving the stage. PM Modi then took him to his elder brother Chiranjeevi. The two greeted the public together, PM Modi hugged both the brothers and congratulated them. This video has gone viral on various social media platforms, garnering many reactions from people.

Jana Sena’s 100% strike rate in elections
After taking oath as Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan sought the blessings of his elder brother Chiranjeevi by touching his feet. In the 2024 Assembly elections, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party contested 21 seats and won all of them. In addition, he contested two Lok Sabha seats and won both, achieving a 100% strike rate in the elections. A total of 24 NDA ministers, including three from Jana Sena and one from the BJP, were sworn in at the swearing-in ceremony held at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram airport in Vijayawada.
