Instead of eating adulterated sweets on festivals, it is better to try homemade sweets. You can make many types of tasty sweets without mawa and just with the help of milk powder. If there are no cashew nuts in the house, then there is no need to worry, you can make sweets exactly like cashew katli from peanuts. Peanut katli or barfi looks like cashew katli, but its taste will be much more delicious than that. That means you can make and eat tasty peanut katli in a very low budget. Know how to make peanut katli, which looks exactly like cashew katli?

Ingredients for making Peanut Katli:

  • Peanuts – 2 cups
  • Milk powder – 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Water – half a cup
  • Ghee – 1 tsp

Peanut Katli Naane Recipe:

First step- To make katli or barfi from peanuts, first roast the peanuts on low flame. This will remove the peanut shell easily. Roast the peanuts on low flame only, otherwise they will burn and the taste and colour of the barfi will be spoiled.

Second step- Now when it cools down, rub the peanuts with your hands to remove the peel. Now put the roasted and unpeeled peanuts in a mixer and grind them to make a fine powder. You have to grind it by stopping the mixer. By continuously grinding, the peanuts will start releasing oil.

Third step- Filter the peanut powder through a sieve so that no pieces or lumps remain. Now add milk powder and cardamom to it. By mixing all the things, a powder like substance will be prepared.

Fourth step- Now pour water in the pan and add sugar and cook it. For this you have to cook sugar and water for about 5-7 minutes. Add the peanut mixture in this sugar solution.

Fifth step- Reduce the flame of the gas and mix everything. You have to stir this mixture until it becomes a smooth paste. Now add 1 teaspoon of ghee to it. When the mixture starts separating from the pan, turn off the gas.

Sixth step- Pour the prepared mixture on butter paper and spread it to make it smooth. Now let it cool down a bit and then prepare a ball out of it. Put another butter paper on top and roll it.

Seventh step- Now remove the butter paper on top and then cut it in the shape of Kaju Katli or any other shape of your choice. Delicious peanut barfi will be ready. Serve it by putting silver work on it.

Eighth step- Believe me, the eaters will be surprised to see this barfi. No one will be able to tell whether it is a peanut katli or a cashew katli. Do try this recipe once.
