In Sadatpur area of Muzaffarpur, the excise department team stopped an ambulance, which was a normal patient carrying vehicle, but had a secret cellar in his roof, in which liquor cartons were hidden.

On receiving the information, when the ambulance was stopped for investigation, nothing was found at the first sight. But when the team searched again closely, a heavy consignment of foreign liquor was recovered in the box hidden on the roof. The liquor was brought from Siliguri in West Bengal.
Driver arrested, names of big smugglers revealed
Ambulance driver Anish has been arrested from the spot. During interrogation, he revealed that he had earlier brought the consignment of liquor from Siliguri. He named two big liquor mafia – Sunny Rai and Mazhar – who operate this network of smuggling.
Ambulance was not just named ‘Use’
To dodge the police, smugglers use not only ambulances but also police vehicles and press -written vehicles. Inspector Deepak Kumar Singh of the Excise Department said that regular raids are being conducted on the instructions of DM, in which such clerics are being busted.
