Brave Police Man: News of bravery of a policeman is coming from Raniganj district of West Bengal. He foiled a major theft in a jewellery shop. This incident is said to have happened last week, but it has become a topic of discussion after its video went viral recently. 7 masked thieves had come to steal in a jewellery shop. They also stole jewellery worth about Rs 4 crore at gunpoint. They were about to escape easily, but the policeman reached the spot and foiled their attempt.
The entire incident has been captured in the CCTV camera installed outside the shop. Sub-inspector Meghnad Mandal can be seen hiding behind a thin electric pole and fighting with the robbers. West Bengal Police has shared a thread on its social media handle ‘X’ mentioning this incident. The video shared looks no less than a film scene. The funny thing is that due to fear of the policeman, the robbers were forced to run away leaving half of the looted goods behind. During this, at least 20 rounds were fired.
This incident happened on Sunday. In the afternoon, seven masked robbers armed with pistols, machine guns and rifles entered a jewellery shop. They scared everyone present there including the owner as well as the customers and in a few minutes the robbers looted jewellery worth more than Rs 4 crore. It was a coincidence that the in-charge of the police post had reached the shop in plain clothes for some work. He had his service revolver with him. When he saw that people were sitting scared in the shop, he immediately took action. He stood outside and started guarding, when a thief saw him.
