Chandigarh A special awareness program was organized by Jai Madhusudan Jai Sri Krishna Foundation today under the “Har Ghar Tricolor-Har Ghar Plant” campaign in Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11, Chandigarh.
The event was organized with the efficient guidance of Professor Dr. Rama Arora, Principal of the college and special support of Dr. Salil Sharma, in which the founder of the Foundation, Prabhu Nath Shahi, former flight engineer (Indian Air Force) was present as the chief guest. One hundred and fifty students participated enthusiastically in this program. The girl students were motivated.
The program began with the inauguration of the campaign “Har Ghar Tricolor – Har Ghar plant” campaign. On this auspicious occasion, Shahi gave the message of patriotism and environmental protection by offering sandalwood plant and tricolor to Dr. Salil Sharma.
In his address, Shahi said that –
“It is the responsibility of not only the government, but the responsibility of every citizen. When we plant a plant, we build the future, not only greenery.”
He called upon the youth to connect the environmental consciousness with inspirational slogans like “our environment, our god” and “our work, the name of Mother Earth”.
On this occasion, the need for environmental protection, plantation and public awareness was highlighted. Speakers, while motivating the youth, said that every citizen should fulfill his participation in the protection of the environment and his motherland.
The program was successfully concluded with the cooperation of the girl students. In the end, all the attendees pledged to plant environmental protection and every house saplings. There was a special support of loyalty and Sandeepna in making this program a success.
