Alwar. On the instructions of ACB Headquarters, Jaipur Nagar IV unit of ACB took action in Alwar on Monday and arrested Divyank Tyagi, Executive Engineer, Section-NCR I, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Alwar red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 1.5 lakh from the complainant. Director General of Anti-Corruption Bureau, Dr. Ravi Prakash Meharada said that the complainant gave a complaint to Jaipur Nagar IV unit of ACB that in lieu of passing the pending bills of construction works, accused Divyank Tyagi, Executive Engineer, Section-NCR I, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Alwar is harassing the complainant by demanding a bribe of Rs. 2 lakh from him.
On which, under the supervision of ACB Jaipur’s Deputy Inspector General of Police Dr. Ravi, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police of Jaipur City IV Unit of ACB, Shri Balram Meena, the complaint was verified and today Police Inspector Shri Moolchand along with his team took action in trap Alwar and arrested the accused Divyank Tyagi, Executive Engineer, Section-NCR First, Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Alwar red handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 1 lakh 50 thousand from the complainant. It is noteworthy that even before the complaint, the accused had already collected Rs. 1 lakh as bribe from the complainant.
The interrogation and proceedings against the accused are ongoing under the guidance of Additional Director General of Police of ACB, Smita Shrivastava. ACB will register a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act and conduct further investigation.
