New Delhi. The effect of political instability in Bangladesh and the oppression of Hindus is now being seen on those Indian Hindu families who have relatives in Bangladesh. The Indian Hindu boy who is married to a Bangladeshi Hindu girl or the Indian Hindu girl who is married to a Bangladeshi Hindu boy are all worried. Someone’s wife is stuck in Bangladesh and someone’s husband is stuck in Bangladesh. One such case has come to light from Purnia district of Bihar.
Vikas Kumar, a resident of Banmankhi in Purnia, is unable to sleep because his wife and daughter are stuck in Bangladesh. The situation in Bangladesh has been continuously worsening since the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina’s government. In such a situation, not only Vikas but his entire family is neither able to sleep properly nor eat properly. Be it day or night, Vikas is always glued to his phone.
Many Hindus got trapped after getting married in Bangladesh
Actually, Vikas is losing sleep because he had a love marriage with a Bangladeshi Hindu girl in February last year. Vikas fell in love with Hindu girl Savitri on Facebook and married her despite family’s opposition. On 24 February this year, a daughter was born to the couple. Vikas says that on the insistence of his in-laws, he sent his wife and daughter to Bangladesh on 22 July. Everything was going well for a few days, but after the removal of Sheikh Hasina’s government, the situation worsened there. I am upset by this.
Kapil Mishra’s big statement, said- remember! Whoever is saying that we will create a situation like Bangladesh in India… he is talking about killing Hindus
According to Vikas, his wife has an air ticket to Delhi on 13th August. But now Vikas is afraid that he might not be able to meet his wife and daughter on 13th August. Vikas is having many kinds of worries and fears. Whenever his wife’s number is not reachable, Vikas gets worried and starts calling his in-laws’ numbers. When his in-laws’ numbers are also not reachable, his fear increases further. Vikas says that just three days ago, a Hindu house next to his in-laws’ house was set on fire by rioters.

Vikas says that his wife told him in a conversation that Hindu boys and girls and old people keep guard in shifts, day and night. The situation is very dangerous. The local police do advise Hindus not to leave their homes, but no one is helping them in any way.
Vikas says, ‘There are many others like us whose families are stuck in Bangladesh. We are contacting the Indian Embassy. But, nothing is being said openly. In such a situation, there is nothing left for me to do. I will be worried about my wife and child until they come in front of me. But, there is no such fear among Muslim relatives. This is happening only to Hindu families.
