Khandwa (Representative of New Zealand). The district has got a target of planting 6876 saplings under Ankur Abhiyan. To fulfill this goal, tree plantation is also being done in the hostels. So far 374 saplings have been planted in the hostels. Here the team of Municipal Corporation planted saplings in the park of Tagore Colony on the second day. On Wednesday, Municipal Commissioner Savita Pradhan planted saplings of Ericafarm and Vidya along with son Rudraksh Gaur in the garden located at Tagore Colony on the second day of Ankur Abhiyan. On this occasion, the Municipal Commissioner said that merely planting saplings would not fulfill the responsibility. The plants have to be watered daily and their safety should also be ensured. During this, officers-employees of the corporation including in-charge executive engineer HR Pandey, public relations officer Zakir Jafri, assistant engineer Santosh Pandey, timepal Inder Mandloi were present. Similarly, at Jaswadi Sukta Filter Plant, Superintending Engineer Kailash Choudhary, Executive Engineer in-charge Antarsingh Tanwar, In-Charge Assistant Engineer Rajesh Gupta, Deputy Engineer Rahul Raghuvanshi, Prashant Pachaure and corporation workers planted 16 date palm saplings. Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jain and Sachin Sitole, Assistant Law Officer Rakesh Lalit and other officials planted 27 saplings in Tagore Park located in the Civil Lines area. 15 in Anand Nagar garden, 40 saplings were planted near the stadium ground. In this way, corporation officers-employees planted 219 saplings in two days and uploaded their photos on Vayudoot app.

District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Nanda Bhalwe Kushre said that on March 1, 106 saplings were planted by Junior Boys Hostel Pandhana, 191 saplings by Tribal Senior Boys Hostel Pandhana, 77 saplings by Tribal Boys Ashram Bilud Development Block Pandhana in compliance with the plan. In this, 136 plants were fruitful, 92 flowering plants, 146 shady plants were planted. Tree plantation was also done on Wednesday as part of this campaign.
