Indian Cricket Team
In the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma has confirmed its place for the Super 8 by winning its first three matches of Group A. Team India won the match played against America on June 12 at the New York ground by 7 wickets, while before that they defeated Ireland by 8 wickets and Pakistan by 6 runs. So far everything has looked fine for the Indian team from the point of view of strategy in this T20 World Cup, but star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has not been seen contributing to the team’s victory in all three matches.
Did not open account in batting, did not get a single wicket in bowling
Ravindra Jadeja is counted among the match winner players of the Indian team, whose presence in the playing 11 also improves the balance of the team. Jadeja has got the opportunity to bowl in only 2 matches in this T20 World Cup so far, in which he bowled one over against Ireland and 2 overs in the match against Pakistan and while Jadeja gave away 17 runs in the total bowling of 3 overs, he could not take a single wicket. Apart from this, Jadeja got the opportunity to bat in the match against Pakistan but he lost his wicket on the very first ball of his innings. Jadeja is also counted among the best fielders, but in all the three matches played so far, not a single catch has been added to his account nor has he been able to make any run out.
Jadeja is expected to perform better in Super 8
The Indian team is yet to play its last match of the group stage against Canada on June 15 at the Florida ground, after which the Indian team will leave for the West Indies to play the Super 8 matches. If we look at Ravindra Jadeja’s record in T20 International in West Indies, here he has scored a total of 65 runs in 7 matches at an average of 21.67, while in bowling he has taken 4 wickets.
