What did Muhammad Yunus say in Bangladesh?
Nobel Prize-winning economist Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as the chief advisor of Bangladesh’s interim government on Thursday. Before taking the oath, Yunus said that the government will ensure the safety of the people in Bangladesh. Yunus also urged the youth of Bangladesh to help in rebuilding Bangladesh. Yunus told the youth of the country that we have to protect this freedom. Yunus, who is ready to take the oath, said that his first task would be to restore law and order by controlling anarchic activities and attacks on minority communities.
Yunus will remain in command until the elections are held
Muhammad Yunus will continue to look after the work of the interim government until elections are held in Bangladesh. The interim government will now be in charge of the country until an elected government is formed in Bangladesh. President Mohammad Shahabuddin will administer the oath to the interim government. Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman had said after Sheikh Hasina’s resignation that an interim government will be formed in Bangladesh.
