New Delhi. Pramila Tai Medha, former head of the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, died on Thursday at the age of 97. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over his death. He said that her invaluable contribution to women empowerment as well as social work will always be remembered.
Prime Minister Modi on Thursday wrote on the social media platform X, “The revered Pramila Tai, who was the chief director of the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, has been very sad due to the death of the rampage. His entire life has been dedicated to society and national service. Along with women empowerment, his invaluable contribution to social work will always be remembered. His families and fans will always be remembered in this hour.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed grief over the death of Pramila Tai Mere. He wrote on X, “The chief director of the National Service Committee, the revered Pramila Tai Mere, is a great loss for all the social workers. My condolences in this hour of grief are with their families and fans. Pramila Tai remained devoted to the empowerment of nation -life and women power. The National Samiti Samiti became a synonym of public welfare under their leadership. The inspiration is to place God the departed soul in your shrines. “
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat paid tribute to Pramila Tai Mere. Some pictures were also shared on the official X handle of the Sangh, in which Mohan Bhagwat is seen paying his last tribute.
The Sangh chief said, “A maternal umbrella has been removed from the heads of all of us from the other head of Pramila Tai Mere, the former head of the Rashtriya Sevika Samiti. A maternal umbrella has been removed from the heads of all of us. His death has almost become full of his long penance from the establishment of the committee till today. The surefire understanding and loyalty of the goal, the perspective of work for work and the consequences of the work were the idol of the nation. After offering Samidha, he finally surrendered his body with the determination resolution.
