Bhubaneswar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated 105 development projects worth Rs 18,653 crore for Odisha. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi described the tour as a historic turn of the Vikas Yatra of Odisha and said that this is a move to be the future of the state.
The Prime Minister formally released the state’s long -term development scheme ‘Odisha Vision 2036 and 2047’. This document has been designed keeping in mind the centenary (2047) of India’s independence and the centenary (2036) of the formation of Odisha. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced the Baraputra Historical Gram Yojana. Under this scheme, the ancestral villages of great personalities of the state will be overall. Under this, every village will get 15 crore rupees.
Along with this, museums, statues, interpretation centers, children’s parks, crafts-kanpan stalls, libraries, auditoriums and open air theaters will be built in villages. Land will be identified for the establishment of at least one model primary school in every panchayat area. A detailed project report is being prepared for this.
Two new rail services connecting Buddhist, Buddhist-Ambalpur and Buddhist-Bhubaneshwar (new) were started. This will lead to a major improvement in connectivity of internal regions.
During this time the Prime Minister inaugurated the 73 km long Sonepur-Puruna Cuttack railway line, which is part of the Khurda Road-Balangir railway line. With this, Buddhist district was connected to the railway network for the first time. Also, the foundation of additional railway line and other five railway projects was laid in Sarla-Sansa section.
Prime Minister Modi honored ‘Lakhpati Didis’ on stage, recognizing the success of women self -help groups. The Chief Minister announced the introduction of 100 new electric buses under the Rajdhani Region Urban Transport. These buses will operate 11 old and eight new routes in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri. The ‘Narj Electric Bus Depot’ was also inaugurated, which has been prepared with the Green Building Technology.
The Chief Minister said, “This is not just the launch of projects, but the beginning of Navodaya of Odisha. It is a historical leap towards making the state self-reliant, prosperous and future-taiyar.”
