PM Modi will visit Ukraine.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit Ukraine on 23 August. Information has been given in this regard by issuing a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs. Ahead of PM Modi’s visit to Kiev, India said on Monday that it is ready to contribute to finding a peaceful solution to the conflict in Ukraine. Let us tell you that PM Modi will visit the capital of Ukraine on August 23 to hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Foreign Ministry issued statement

Foreign Ministry Secretary Tanmay Lal said in a media briefing, India has always advocated diplomacy and dialogue to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. He said, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine will be part of the discussion. In response to a question, Tanmay Lal said that India has independent relations with both Russia and Ukraine. He informed that before the Ukraine visit, PM Modi will also visit Poland.

Ukraine’s President’s Office also issued a statement

Apart from this, a statement has also been issued by the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Regarding PM Modi’s visit to Ukraine, a statement issued by the Ukrainian President’s Office said that on August 23, on Ukraine’s National Flag Day, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make an official visit to Ukraine. This is the first visit of an Indian Prime Minister to Ukraine in the history of our bilateral relations. During the visit, issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation will be discussed, especially with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It is also expected that several documents will be signed between Ukraine and India.

PM Modi’s visit to Russia

Let us tell you that before this, PM Modi had also visited Russia on July 8-9. However, America had criticized PM Modi’s visit to Russia. There are reports that many western countries were unhappy with Modi’s visit to Russia. India had rejected America’s concerns over Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Russia and said that in a multipolar world, all countries have the “freedom to give preference to their choice” and everyone should be aware of such realities.
