New Delhi. On the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi addressed the countrymen for the 11th consecutive time from the ramparts of the Red Fort in Delhi. In his address, PM Modi expressed great sorrow by mentioning the atrocities and crimes against women. He urged all the state governments to take steps to stop such atrocities against women. This statement of PM Modi is important because recently a female doctor was brutally murdered after being raped in Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College.

In his address from the Red Fort, PM Modi said that today women are making strides in every field. Today women are also providing leadership. Women are doing great work in every field, be it our Air Force, Army, Navy or Space Sector. However, concerns are also coming from some areas. He said that as a society we will have to think seriously that atrocities against women should stop. There is an outrage regarding this, I can feel it. Modi appealed to the governments of all the states to investigate crimes against women as soon as possible. Those who have demonic tendencies should get severe punishment soon. I would also like to say that when rape incidents happen, there is a lot of discussion about it, then it remains in the media, but when the criminals are punished, the news of it is not published prominently. This should change. It is important to create fear in the criminals.

In his address, Modi also expressed his views on corruption, nepotism and appeasement. He targeted the opposition parties without naming them. Modi said that corruption has eaten away the country like termites, but it is Modi’s life’s commitment that he will keep fighting against corruption. Modi said about nepotism that it has gripped the country and snatched the rights of the people. Modi strongly targeted those who practice nepotism and said that their basic mantra is, of the family, by the family and for the family. PM Modi said that the third evil is appeasement, which has harmed the basic thinking of the country. We have to fight against these evils with full strength.
