Earlier, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev had posted on Instagram thanking PM Narendra Modi that India took action against the ship caught by pirates and safely rescued the sailors of other countries including Bulgaria. This entire incident happened in the Arabian Sea, about 2600 kilometers away from India. The Indian Navy took forceful action after receiving information about the crew of the hijacked ship. The Indian Navy had air-dropped Marcos commandos onto the ship via parachute. After which all the 35 pirates who had captured the ship were arrested and the crew was freed. India has also saved many more ships from pirates in recent times.
Pirates are usually from Somalia. These pirates target merchant ships sailing through the Arabian Sea. These pirates surround the ships with their boats, board them and take the ship’s crew hostage. Along with the navies of many countries, the Indian Navy has also been running a campaign against these pirates. The whole world is praising India for this campaign.
