New Delhi. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the white paper in Parliament on Friday. This white paper contains an account of the economic policies of the Congress-led UPA regime from 2004 to 2014 and then the Modi government for 10 years. While presenting this white paper, the Finance Minister accused the previous Congress government that during its tenure only scams were happening and the financial condition of the country was in a mess. Congress is calling this white paper a means of falsifying the figures of Modi government. Questions are also being raised that why did the Modi government not bring this white paper earlier? PM Narendra Modi answered this question in a program of the English newspaper The Economic Times on Friday.
While addressing the newspaper programme, PM Modi said that he could have brought the white paper earlier also and could have served political interests through it. Still he did not bring it then. Modi told that the reason for this was that when he took over as PM, he was shocked when he got information about the situation. He felt that if the figures of the poor financial condition of the country were presented to the country at this time and even a single wrong signal was sent, the situation could worsen further. PM Modi said that he kept this in mind and gave priority to national policy over politics. Listen to what statement Modi gave on bringing the white paper now.

In the white paper, the Modi government has compared the financial condition of India during its era with the UPA government of the Congress. In the white paper presented by the Modi government in Parliament, it has been told how the financial situation was bad during the UPA government and the banking system was also on the verge of collapse. The Modi government has presented before the country the information about the steps taken to improve this poor condition during its government. Lok Sabha elections are also to be held in the next few months. In such a situation, this issue is hot. Congress has cornered the Modi government by issuing a black paper in protest against this white paper. On this black paper of Congress, PM Narendra Modi has already said in the Parliament that this is the same kind of black mark on the good work of the government, which is used to protect children from evil eyes.
