Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said investors from across the world are keenly looking at India and said the domestic industry should come forward and grab this golden opportunity and play its role in achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047. Addressing a post-budget conference of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on the theme ‘Journey towards a Developed India’, the Prime Minister said the Modi government does not lack political will and will take all decisions keeping in mind the nation-first approach.
India will become the third largest economy
According to the news, PM Modi said that India is growing at the rate of eight percent and the day is not far when the country will become the third largest economy in the world. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this feat of becoming the third largest economy will be achieved in his third term. He mentioned the various announcements and measures made in the budget, especially the measures to promote the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, which generates crores of employment opportunities.
Foreign investors are keen to come to India
Modi said that today the whole world is looking towards India and you. Government policies, commitment and investments are becoming the foundation of global growth. Investors from all over the world are willing to come to India. World leaders are positive about India. This is a great opportunity for Indian industry and we should not miss this opportunity. He said that the domestic industry should work with the government to make India a developed nation by 2047 and also make it a global player in emerging sectors.
The Prime Minister said that the government’s intention and commitment is clear. Whether it is nation first or becoming a 5000 billion US dollar economy, we are working with full dedication.
