Warangal. The controversy over the ‘inheritance tax’ statement of senior Congress leader and party’s Indian Overseas Unit President Sam Pitroda had not subsided that now he has given another political weapon to BJP by commenting on the appearance of Indians. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has attacked Pitroda for his racial remarks. Criticizing Pitroda’s racist remarks, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘I will not tolerate insult to my fellow Indians. I am very angry today, my country was abused, that is why I am angry.
Addressing an election rally in Warangal, Telangana, PM Modi said, ‘The prince has an uncle living in America. This prince’s uncle is his philosophical guide, he is the third umpire in cricket these days, if there is any confusion then they ask him, similarly when the prince has confusion, he takes advice from the third player. The prince’s uncle has revealed a big secret. He has said that those whose skin color is black, all of them are from Africa.
‘They abused me so much because of skin color’
PM Modi also said, ‘I mean you all, you abused many people of my country on the basis of skin colour. Only then did I understand that after seeing the color of the skin, they assumed that Draupadi Murmu is also African and hence she should be defeated, because her skin color is black.
The Prime Minister said, ‘Today I came to know where his mind is working. Where will these people take the country? Hey, we are the people who worship Shri Krishna, whose skin color is like all of us.
What did Pitroda say?
Earlier, Sam Pitroda said in his statement that the people of North India look like white people, whereas the people of East India look like Chinese. Pitroda further said in this statement that South Indian people look like Africans and West Indian people look like Arab people. He further said that in a diverse country like India, everyone still lives together.
Now BJP has become an attacker on this racial statement of Pitroda. BJP says that these words may be of Sam Pitroda but the thinking is of Rahul Gandhi. In fact, before this, Sam Pitroda had raised the temperature of politics through his statement, when he had said that like America, inheritance tax should be imposed in India too. Although the Congress had distanced itself from his statement then, even after this, Rahul Gandhi had talked about conducting caste census and economic survey in the country in many forums.
