Christmas festival is celebrated all over the world on 25 December every year. This festival is celebrated with equal joy in India also. Prime Minister Narendra Modi organized a Christmas program at his residence on this occasion. In his address at this program, PM Modi said that we believe in the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. He said that we are ensuring that the benefits of development reach everyone and no one is left untouched by it. Jesus Christ has taught to live life on the values of compassion and service. He worked to create a society where there is justice for all. Referring to the Pope, he said that I met the Pope a few years ago. This meeting has left an indelible impression on him. In his address, PM Modi said that the government is taking forward its development journey at pace with the aim of making a developed India by 2047.
Let us gift a better planet to children
PM Modi said in his address, ‘Our most important companions in this journey are our youth. There is a tradition of giving gifts to each other on Christmas. In such a situation, we should consider that we should give them a better planet as a gift for future generations. During this, the Prime Minister congratulated everyone on Christmas and said Merry Christmas. While addressing the people, the PM said that when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he used to often meet the people of the Christian community and their leaders.
