New Delhi. Chinese Ambassador Shu Faihong said on Thursday that China’s visit to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO) summit in Tianjin later this month will be very important for not only SCO but also for India-China bilateral relations.
In a conversation with reporters during an event organized by the Chintan Research Foundation in the capital, the Chinese Ambassador said, “Prime Minister Modi’s visit to China will give new pace to the improvement and development of our two countries. A workplace from India and China is working hard to make this visit a success. We give great importance to this tour and believe it will be very successful.”
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who visited India, met Prime Minister Modi and submitted the message and invitation of President Xi Jinping. The Prime Minister emphasized the need to maintain peace and stability on the border during this period and said that the solution to the border issue should be fair, properly and mutually acceptable.
On the same day, the 24th talk of Special Representatives (SR) was held on the border issue between National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Wang Yi. NSA Doval said during this time that last year Kazan has seen positive trends in relations between the two countries since the meeting of Prime Minister Modi and President Xi Jinping and the boundaries have been peaceful.
The Chinese ambassador said that this time during the visit to India, there has been a “very important 10 -point consent” on the border question between External Affairs Minister Wang Yi and NSA Doval. Under this, two functioning groups will be created, a specialist group that will explore initial progress on border determination areas and the other group will work on improving border management.
In his address on the subject of ‘SCO Summit 2025 India-China relations New direction’, Ambassador Shoo Faihong said that India and China are not rival but partners and differences should be resolved through dialogue.
He said, “Today the world is going through a period of unrest and change. The international system has been going to be the deepest changes since World War II. The importance of India-China relations has increased further. Our cooperation is beneficial for both countries. We are neighbors, major developing nations and are in important stages of national revival.”
Referring to the renewal of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, the ambassador said that China wants to continue friendly exchange in all regions with India so that people of both countries can “go like their families” to each other.
