PM said, this time Indian players reached the finals in 7 shooting events, this has also happened for the first time. PM also congratulated shooter Manu Bhaker, who won two bronze medals in the Olympics, for bringing pride to the country. Badminton player Lakshya Sen shared his experiences with the PM. During this, PM told Lakshya that you know you have become a celebrity. After this, PM talked to the players of the bronze medal winning hockey team about their journey. PM also kept joking with the players in between.

The Prime Minister also boosted the morale of the defeated players. He said that those who could not win medals need not worry about losing, rather they should think about what new things they learned in this competition, what new experiences they gained and with these experiences, they have to prepare for the future. Modi said that sports have two aspects, defeat and victory, there is no need to be disappointed in this, you have come carrying the country’s flag and have brought a lot of personal experiences from there which will be useful for you in the future.
