The rhetoric of the leaders is still going on regarding the lapse in the security of Prime Minister Modi. On one hand many big leaders of the opposition are condemning it, while the Congress is still calling it a part of BJP’s ploy. Meanwhile, Anurag Thakur and Captain Amarinder Singh have directly blamed the Punjab government for this. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur attacked the Congress in the inaugural session of the Doordarshan Conclave, saying, “The Prime Minister does not belong to any party but to the entire country and the country has taken this matter very seriously.”
Doubt on the intention of Congress
Along with this, questioning the intention of the Congress party, he said, “The silence of the Congress on the lapse in the security of the Prime Minister in Punjab shows their intention.”
‘Sidhu and Channi making irresponsible statements’
At the same time, on this matter, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said, “The manner in which State Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Punjab Congress unit chief Navjot Singh Sidhu have given statements on this whole incident, he Totally irresponsible.
Amarinder Singh further said that ‘Charanjit Singh Channi, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Sidhu are working to mislead people. Hearing their statements, it seems as if they do not know how to perform their duties and how to give statements. Running away from your mistakes is cowardice, it is not true leadership.
Sidhu said PM Modi is defaming Punjab
Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu called the matter of security lapse of PM Modi a drama. He said, “Prime Minister you are not the Prime Minister of BJP, everyone belongs to you. Modi is defaming Punjabiyat. There is no threat to the life of the Prime Minister in Punjab, it is just drama.”
Sidhu had further said that “low chairs can be addressed by the former Chief Minister, but not the Prime Minister. Many security agencies are working that when the plan to leave is changed? Farmers can stand against you, but there is a threat to life from the farmer.” Can’t happen. BJP has neither vote nor spot in Punjab and it is known to all.”
