Chandigarh There has been a flood of political responses since the Punjab government has removed the Z Plus security of senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and former minister Bikram Singh Majithia. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President and Minister of Punjab Government Aman Arora spoke to and spoke on this issue.
Aman Arora said that whatever the political response, it depends on the decision of the Chief Minister, as he has a home department and has better information about the matter. However, the Punjab Police says that Bikram Singh Majithia is still getting adequate security and also has an escort vehicle. The change in security, cannot be called completely removing security. The police have taken this decision on the basis of the perception of danger and it is the job of the police to increase or reduce the level of security. Aman Arora questioned whether a former MLA or former minister should be given security at the level of President or Prime Minister. He said that whatever decision the police has taken is appropriate.
Aman Arora also took a dig at opposition parties over political statements on this issue. He alleged that why Congress, Akali Dal and BJP have so much sympathy with the drug mafia? He said that we have always said that every party is involved in drug trade in Punjab, but today when the security of a drug mafia is removed, these three parties are protesting unitedly. These parties never united for the rights of Punjabis, but today they came in support of the drug mafia. His government is taking strict action against drugs and no one will be spared, no matter how big a person.
In addition, Arora reacted strongly when Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu threatened to spoil the atmosphere on Ambedkar Jayanti. He said that Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, who is sitting thousands of miles away from Punjab, is trying to spread hatred in Punjab. There has been terrorism on the land of Punjab for so many years, but never made any difference between Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Dalit communities here. This person is trying to set fire to Punjab to bake his loaves.
Aman Arora warned Pannu that if he tries to break the statue of Ambedkar in Punjab, the people of Punjab would oppose him firmly. He said that we have challenged Pannu that if he has drunk mother’s milk, then he should come to Punjab and show Ambedkar’s statue by touching it. The people of Punjab, our Dalit brotherhood people, will protect it and will also worship Ambedkar ji.
