Police intensive campaign in Ajmer, six illegal Bangladeshi citizen in custody, 2151 documents investigation

As part of a special campaign against illegal foreign nationals living in Ajmer district, the district police has taken major action and detained six Bangladeshi citizens. During this campaign, special police teams in sensitive areas spread across the district investigated a total of 2151 suspects in a single day, of which six citizens were found without valid documents.

This campaign was conducted on the instructions of the Director General of Rajasthan. The campaign was conducted under the supervision of DIG Ajmer Range Omprakash, District Superintendent of Police Vandita Rana, Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Himanshu Jangid, Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma and Additional Superintendent of Police (Kekri) Shorrajmal Meena.

A thorough investigation was done at sensitive places.
The police formed special teams in all the police station areas of the district and conducted intensive search operations in sensitive places like hotels, dharamshalas, railway stations, bus stands, brick kilns, industrial factories, raw settlements and dargah areas. The suspects were identified with the help of local informers and technical means. The six Bangladeshi civilians arrested during this period were from Dargah Police Station and Sarwar police station areas.

He was identified as Jamir Shah, Mir Jarana Begum alias Maria Begum, Mohammad Rafiqul Islam alias Babu Chishti, Manjarul Islam, Abdul Qadir and Khaikal Islam. None of them had no valid documents to live in India. The police have taken everyone into custody and started legal action.

‘If you find anything suspicious, report immediately’
The Ajmer police has appealed to the general public to immediately inform the nearest police station or district control room if anyone gets any information about any suspected person, illegal foreign citizen or people like Rohingya in their area. Police say that this campaign will continue in future also so that any illegal activity and elements that threaten internal security in the district can be controlled in time.
