Abuja: The situation in Nigeria is constantly getting worse. This country is facing serious difficulties on the economic front. The situation has now become such that the public is forced to take to the streets. Meanwhile, the police used force to disperse the thousands of protesters who took to the streets against the economic crisis in Nigeria by firing bullets and releasing tear gas shells. Two people have died in such action by the police.

The deaths were reported in northern Niger state, where protesters clashed with security forces after blocking a major road, local newspaper Daily Trust reported. Police also opened fire in at least two other states. The protesters are demanding an end to the growing economic crisis that has hit people in Africa’s top oil producer.
The government did not comment
It is worth noting that security personnel and armored vehicles have also been deployed in many cities and towns of Nigeria. The protesters have demanded an end to “corruption and bad governance”. In the video of the protest in the media, some protesters can be seen looting warehouses and damaging public property. In view of the situation, three governors have declared curfew in their states.
