Police seized 54.490 kg of doda poppy saw in Ajmer's Kishangarh, arrested smuggler

Kishangarh police in Ajmer district arrested a smuggler while taking major action against the drug. 54.490 kg of illegal drug poppy was seized from the accused. This action was taken on the instructions of District Superintendent of Police Vandita Rana, who ordered strict action against smuggling of illegal drugs in the district.

The campaign was led by Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Ajmer Deepak Kumar Sharma and CO Vrit Kishangarh City under the supervision of Kishangarh City by Bhikharam Kala. CI Bhikharam Kala said that on 15 April 2025, the house of Ratan Putra Kistura Jat, accused in Balapura village, was raided. A large amount of drugs were found from the house of Ratan (age 52), a resident of Balapura in Kishangarh. The accused was arrested on the spot after taking possession of it. CI Bhikharam Kala said that the police have registered a case against the accused under Section 8/15 of the NDPS Act and started further investigation. The responsibility of investigating the case has been entrusted to the police officer of Gandhinagar police station, Sanjay Sharma.

In this operation, Head Constable Dharmendra Singh, Constable Shravanlal, Rajendra Singh, Ganeshram, Pradeep Kumar, Sitaram, Gheesi Devi (Lady Constable), Sushil Mundel, Driver Akha Ram, Bhagwan Sahai and Ghaffar Khan played a key role. Due to this action of Kishangarh police station, panic has spread among drug addicts in the area. Police have said that they will continue such intensive campaign in future too, so that the region can be made drug -free. Superintendent of Police Vandita Rana praised the team and said that this campaign against illegal drugs would continue.
