New Delhi. On Tuesday, Delhi Police filed its charge sheet in the case of action taken under the Anti-Terrorism Act (UAPA) on the website News Click. The police has claimed to file this charge sheet within 180 days of filing the case. In this, the website and its employees have been made accused under sections 153A 120A of IPC and sections 13,16,17,18, 22-C, 39 & 40 of UAPA. Delhi Police says that there are a total of 8 protected witnesses in their case.
On behalf of Delhi Police, it was told before the Patiala House Court that approval has been taken from the Central Government to prosecute under the provisions of Section 153A of the IPC and UAPA Act. Delhi Police said that there are a total of 8 protected witnesses in this case. On the basis of public witnesses, statements given by the approver and digital evidence collected during the investigation, we request this Court to take cognizance of the charge sheet filed..
