Bhilai. The police has taken action by running a campaign against the secretive ganja sellers in the city. The police have arrested a total of six accused including a delinquent.
Six kg of ganja and sale amount of about Rs.6 lakh 16 thousand have been confiscated from them. The police have taken action against all the accused under the sections of NDPS Act.
Police said that the arrested accused included Biro (55), resident of Camp-1 Vrinda Nagar, Rajkumar Thakur (50), resident of Maroda station, Manisha Sarathi alias Binni, resident of Sarathi Mohalla Mathpara Durg, Mahendra Tandon, resident of village Dhanora, Bharat Tiwari, resident of Green Chowk fort and A delinquent child resident of Camp-2 is involved.
Vaishali Nagar Police has seized one kg 100 grams of ganja and sale amount of Rs 5 lakh 76 thousand 350 from Camp-1 Vrinda Nagar resident Biro. Newai police arrested the accused Rajkumar Thakur while selling ganja near BRP Colony Tiranga Chowk.
928 grams of Ganja and Rs 580 have been seized from him. In the third case, the Durg Kotwali police has caught the accused Manisha Sarathi alias Binni in Sarathi Mohalla Mathpara fort with one kg 352 grams of ganja.
Padmanabhpur outpost police has caught the accused Mahendra Tandon with one kg of ganja and 16 thousand rupees from near Sheetla Talab of village Dhanora. Mohan Nagar police has caught Bharat Tiwari with one kg 308 grams of ganja near Green Chowk. Apart from this, the Cantonment Police has caught a delinquent boy resident of Camp-2 with 350 grams of ganja.

– One kilo 100 grams of ganja and sale amount of five lakh 76 thousand 350 rupees was confiscated to Biro, resident of Vrinda Nagar.
