Lucknow. There is almost two years left. Then the trumpet of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is about to sound. The power at the Center has been occupied by the BJP since 2014. The main reason for this occupation is PM Narendra Modi. BJP fights elections everywhere in the name of Modi. It has been successful in most places. However, some states are still dominated by regional parties and they do not allow the BJP to advance in the elections. Now BJP is preparing to set up a new equation to take the 2024 elections and especially UP once again under its control. This equation is about Pasmanda Muslims. So first let us tell you who are the Pasmanda Muslims.
Pasmanda Muslims are those who were earlier backward and Dalit caste. Later he converted to Islam. There are 44 castes like Idrisi, Nai, Mirasi, Mukeri, Bari, Ghosi, Raini, Ansari, Momin, Malik, Mansoori. There are about 22 crore Muslims in India. Pasmanda Muslims constitute the largest of these, about 85 percent. In the assembly elections held this year in UP, 34 Muslim MLAs have been elected. Of these, 30 are from Pasmanda society. There is a large number of Pasmanda Muslims in UP and Bihar. Pasmanda Muslims live in the Purvanchal of UP and its adjoining areas of Bihar. At the same time, Pasmanda Muslims are also found in western UP, parts of Haryana and Rajasthan. This is the reason that during the meeting of BJP’s National Executive in Hyderabad in the past, PM Narendra Modi himself has instructed to take initiative to connect Pasmanda Muslims with BJP.
Danish Azad Ansari is a minister from the Pasmanda Muslim community in the Yogi government of UP. He is a youth leader and there are people like him in many areas of Purvanchal. Similarly, Shahnawaz Hussain in the Bihar government also belongs to this community. According to BJP sources, it got about 10 percent of the Pasmanda Muslim votes in the UP elections. It is believed that in the coming days, BJP can bring more Pasmanda Muslims to the organization and higher positions. After all, why is BJP giving so much emphasis on Pasmanda Muslims? Navalkant Sinha, a senior journalist from Lucknow, answers this question. According to Navalkant, a Ram temple was built in Ayodhya. Article 370 of the Constitution related to Kashmir has been settled. That is, he fulfilled two big promises of BJP’s agenda. Now instead of Hindutva, his eyes have fallen on the important point of politics i.e. castes. According to Navalkant, BJP has made good inroads among OBCs and Dalits. At the same time, by banning triple talaq, it has managed to make a place in the hearts of most of the Muslim women. The victory of BJP candidates in Muslim-majority areas in many places indicates this. In such a situation, now she wants to build a new form of politics by adding the people who are economically, socially and educationally backward among the majority Pasmanda i.e. Muslims. Navalkant Sinha believes that BJP is going to strengthen its position in all the states through Pasmanda Muslims. Its result is also their claim to be visible in 2024.
