New Delhi. Congress is continuously losing elections. In such a situation, there is a constant demand for change of leadership within the party and especially handing over the command of Congress to someone else instead of the Gandhi family. In such a situation, Sonia Gandhi, the head of the family running the Congress, has come up with a new trick. He has tried to persuade them by handing over important responsibilities to G-23, a group of 23 leaders of the party demanding the removal of the Gandhi family from the Congress leadership. Let us inform that from May 13 to 15, Congress’s Chintan Shivir is going to be held in Udaipur, Rajasthan. In this, the party will also discuss many issues including changes in the organization and will also formulate the strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Earlier, Sonia’s move is being considered as an attempt to silence the voices of protest.
Congress has named its Chintan Shivar as ‘Nav Sankalp Chintan Shivir’. Sonia has formed 6 committees for the camp. 54 names have been fixed for them. In these names, G-23’s Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma, Manish Tewari and Shashi Tharoor have been given an important place. At the same time, Mallikarjun Kharge has been made the convener of the Political Affairs Committee. Former Maharashtra CM Ashok Chavan has also been placed in a committee. Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram has become the chief of the Committee on Economic Affairs. Anand Sharma and Sachin Pilot have also got a place in it.
The Committee on Social Justice will be headed by Salman Khurshid. Mukul Wasnik has been made the chief of the organization related committee. Bhupinder Singh Hooda is the chief of the committee which discusses the issue of farmers. Raja Vading will be the chief of the committee formed to reflect on the issues of youth. Sonia Gandhi had decided to organize a Chintan Shivir after the humiliating defeat of the Congress in the last assembly elections. Earlier in the year 2013, Congress’s Chintan Shivir was held in Jaipur. Since then, the Congress has been continuously losing elections.
