Akanksha Dixit/Delhi: Eating pomegranate is considered very beneficial for our health. Doctors always advise us to eat pomegranate irrespective of any disease. Eating pomegranate also removes your years old weakness and your body will feel very agile. But is eating pomegranate seeds more beneficial for health or drinking its juice? Know the advice of dietician in this special report.

On this topic, we spoke to Priyanka Jaiswal, the founder of Diet to Nourish. While talking to Local 18, she told that she has been giving tips on healthy diet to people above 12 years of age in this field. She did her graduation from Delhi University and master’s degree in Food and Nutrition from Manav Rachna International University, Faridabad. After which she has also worked in many big hospitals of Delhi. She has taken training in hospitals like Max Hospital, Fortis and AIIMS. Dietitian Priyanka Jaiswal told that pomegranate is rich in essential nutrients and antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties, which gives not one but many benefits to our body.

Benefits of eating pomegranate…

Eliminates blood deficiency –Dietician Priyanka said that people who have anemia should definitely consume pomegranate. Because pomegranate contains a lot of iron, which removes anemia.

Pregnant women should consume pomegranate – Pregnant women should definitely consume pomegranate. Because it contains iron, which is essential for pregnant women.

It is better for digestion – Pomegranate contains antioxidants in abundance. This keeps your digestion healthy and you will not feel weak by eating pomegranate.

Which is better pomegranate juice or seeds?

Dietician Priyanka told that people who are anaemic and want to gain weight and small children should consume pomegranate juice, while those who can eat pomegranate or are suffering from obesity and are diabetic patients should consume pomegranate. Because it contains a lot of fiber, which is essential for our body. When it is made into juice, it loses almost all the fiber and a lot of vitamin C. Therefore, people should consume more pomegranate than pomegranate juice.

How many pomegranates can you eat in a day

Pomegranate is one fruit for which there is no fixed dosage. Eating the fruit and drinking its juice is considered safe as part of a healthy diet. You can eat one cup of pomegranate daily.
