Jammu. Pictures of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists attacking the Air Force convoy in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir have been captured in the CCTV cameras of the area. Photographs of three suspected terrorists believed to be involved in the May 4 attack on an Air Force convoy in Poonch district were released on Wednesday. Pictures of suspected terrorists have been extracted from CCTV footage clips. An airman named Corporal Vicky Pahade was killed while four other Indian Air Force personnel were injured in an attack on an Indian Air Force convoy of two vehicles in Surankote tehsil of Poonch district.
According to media reports, three names have emerged during the investigation of the Poonch attack – Ilyas (former commando of Pakistan Army), Abu Hamza (code-name of the commander of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba), and Hadoon. Police first released sketches of two suspected terrorists believed to be behind the attack. Also announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh for anyone giving information leading to his arrest. Meanwhile, the cordon and search operation to nab the terrorists responsible for the attack on the Indian Air Force convoy entered the fifth day on Wednesday.
Security forces, including the Army, police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), have intensified search and combing operations in an area of about 20 square kilometers in Surankote belt and more than five kilometers of area has been searched, officials said. Armed with surveillance equipment including drones and sniffer dogs, search operations are underway in Surankote belt and adjoining areas of Shahsitar, Gursai, Sanai, Lasana and Shindara Top in Poonch district, officials said.

Officials said security forces are trying to identify the terrorists. Three to four photographs of which – probably taken from CCTV footage of the area. Now they have been made public. He said that the search operation started by the security forces on Tuesday is also continuing in Sada and Kandi areas of Rajouri district.
