Odisha Crime Branch on Wednesday arrested a youth from Raigad district. He is accused of posing an AI generated porn and morphous video of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Facebook. The accused has been identified as Kishore Kaushalya.
Complaint of objectionable video
According to the Crime Branch, a citizen lodged a complaint about objectionable videos. According to the complainant, the video has been deliberately designed to tarnish the image of the Chief Minister and discredit him. The complainant has also complained that the video is derogatory to the dignity of women.
The accused works in a construction company
As soon as the complaint was received, the cybercrime unit started investigation. On the basis of initial investigation, Facebook’s parent company Mata was approached and demanded to remove the video. The company then immediately removed the objectionable content. During the investigation, the accused was identified as Kishore Kaushalya. He is a resident of Keutaguda station in Chandli police station area of Raigad district. The accused worked in a private construction company in Tikri area of Raigad.

Kishore Kaushalya is accused of deliberately prepared an objectionable video against the Chief Minister and shared it on Facebook. This video was made with AI technology, so that it looks real. The accused has been arrested under several serious sections. A case has been registered against him under the Indian Penal Code (BNS), the IT Act 2000 and the Pornographic Dictionary (Prohibition) Act, 1986 of women. He was produced in SDJM Court in Bhubaneswar today.
